In class W spoke about the book Little Scarlet by Walter Mosley. I really enjoyed reading this book and the discussion we had in class. The different points brought up in class made me think and I will now read the book in a different perspective. The idea of how violence makes the body and self act as if they were separate really made me think. I really never looked and why people take the actions they do and further more what makes them. I like the fact that no matter how much "Easy" wanted to fight back he kept his composure and he will lead his people to something great I can feel it. It took a lot of self control for "Easy" being a man of color to stand up to the white man and break the barriers that he did for his people. I know that he will do anything that he cam to find out what happened to Nola and he will help out his people along the way. Many don't realize the kinds of risks he is taking and what is actions are doing for him and his people. "Easy" is a man who will not let his body take over he knows who he is and will not allow his body to take over him. He may have the "urge" to but everyone does. It is not about have the "urge" its how u handle that "urge."
